So last Friday, I went back Cat High for the Chinese New Year celebrations! And more importantly, to catch up with my friends (:
I met up with Teck Lee at Bishan MRT and we walked towards CHS. It's so memorable, this pathway, which we always travelled on to & fro whenever we go/leave school. Thinking about it brings back so many lovely memories.
We entered the school hall and met Dao Liang as well! And after the ceremony, of course, we went to meet our FAVOURITE teacher, MRS YAP! :D
Group photo! (:
Later, we also had loadsa zi-lianing session with her but unfortunately, I cannot share those embarrassing photos with the world! That's just too much right! It was so fun, all the laughing and forcing Mrs Yap to do funny poses with us.
We also found MS CHONG!!! :DDD I really miss her man. I mean, Chemistry was such an easy breezy beautiful moment in secondary school all because of her! She made me really comfortable in learning chemistry, which I died all the way to August in sec 3.
I remembered August 2009, we were celebrating National Day at the stadium with Teck Lee, Kit Chong and Dao Liang. Then we were like singing all the NDP and pop songs (Hot N Cold, cool hip party songs lah!) and we could like memorise it very well. I wasn't very close to Ms Chong then and also was failing chemistry terribly.
But she said something then, "Wah Xuan Yu ah, you can memorise all your pop song lyrics but cannot remember any of my chemistry?"
That was when I realised, I didn't really work hard myself for chemistry. I didn't even bother to memorise the AQ portion and the solubility of salts page. That was when I started to work hard for chemistry, even though I knew there were a million kinds of salts and acids and bases in the world. I threw away all my perceptions, and started to just let these information in my textbook sink in.
In the end, I can't really remember it clearly, but I think I scored either an A1 or A2 for chemistry in the Sec 3 EOYs! :D I was so happy then, that my chemistry wasn't becoming my next physics.
Really. Just one simple sentence can really lift you into much greater heights. I've never thanked for properly for that, so here's what I'm going to say: I LOVE YOU MS CHONG! I will one day, thank you properly for that (: __________________________________________
Teck Lee had to go for Volleyball training so we couldn't talk much longer ): But we took a few scenic and flickr-worthy shots before he left!
Staring pensively into the sky, seeing through the mysteries that swirl in it.
We had so much fun catching up and talking about our current lives (: I really miss you Teck Lee, and I really meant what I said in our latest phone convo! :D
You're the best President ever. ________________________________________________
After that, I went to J8 to meet the 4-7 people who came on that day!
We were just basically talking random shit and not really saying anything productive/objective. It was really the kind of conversations we had anyway. LOL!
Then Perry all of a sudden was in J8 somehow, and we met up to TRY TO buy Yu Fan a present! Because it was YF's birthday the Wednesday before -.- We couldn't find anything though, so we gave up.
At night, YF and Perry came over to my house to finish the tub of ice cream they left in my freaking fridge. And also a few chat alongs and talking lah. But I wanna say something first.
SORRY YUFAN, for such a terrible birthday party by your supposed BFFs! ): It didn't even feel like a birthday party lor, just a normal supper session. I mean, there was no cake, or no special food (except pizzas)! And we didn't even treat you anything at all! And NO PRESENTS. WHAT A TERRIBLE PARTY HAHAHAHHAHAHHAHAA (I'm so sadistic). Oh, but we did watch 2 Broke Girls tho, so that makes up for everything.
Okay, I think we will organise someday again and treat you better alright. HAHAHA like last year we totally NEVER CELEBRATE his birthday at all. (We keep saying that we did though!) So diva. ____________________________________________
ANYWAY, by now it's CNY period already so happy Chinese New Year people! And I saw this video back some time, but I really wanna share it.
